In the construction of our dining tables, Amish woodworkers use one of two methods when installing the legs to ensure maximum stability: 1) the legs are inserted into the table frame with a mortise and tenon joint, or 2) the legs are bolted to a v-groove corner block that is glued and screwed in place. Both styles provide extreme sturdiness and strength.
